Today, SACA are delighted to announce that all-rounder Hishaam Khan has signed professional terms with Surrey County Cricket Club to represent the Kia Oval based side throughout the remainder of this season’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign.
Nottingham-born Khan, 26, is a left-arm seamer and left-handed batter, and on signing for Surrey becomes the third SACA player, of the nineteen to have earned professional contracts with first-class counties, to re-sign for another county, following in the footsteps of Yadvinder Singh and Mo Rizvi.
In July 2024 Khan became the ninth SACA player to sign a professional contract with a county side, when he joined Worcestershire for their One-Day Cup campaign, where he played six List-A matches over the next month before being released and returning to SACA.
Since 2024 he has been an important part of the SACA squad, regularly scoring runs in the middle order and taking wickets with his left-arm seam.
Throughout his time with SACA he has trialled with numerous counties, and this latest opportunity with Surrey gives him the perfect opportunity to impress the coaching staff at Surrey in the hope of following in the footsteps of his former SACA teammate, Nikhil Gorantla, who signed a two-year deal with the county in 2025.

Speaking of Khan signing for Surrey, MD and Founder of SACA, Tom Brown commented:
“We are really pleased for Hishaam, who thoroughly deserves this opportunity once again to prove himself in the county game.
“He has worked incredibly hard since coming back to SACA and has turned himself into a genuine all-rounder.
“I’m excited to see him put the lessons he has learnt from his last stint in this competition into action.
“We wish him every success over the remainder of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign.”
