ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The SACA Women's programme was established and launched in January 2026, when SACA initially appealed for 6-10 talented female cricketers of British South Asian heritage to join an elite Women's pilot programme, which provided a high-performance environment to talented females to showcase their skills to the professional game.
In March 2026, following an overwhelming volume of high-quality applicants applying to join the programme, SACA revised its plans and developed a squad of fifteen players, who train individually, as small groups, and as an entire squad throughout the season.
Several matches have been scheduled against professional county sides, to provide the SACA Women's squad with the same opportunities as their male counterparts, - to prove their abilities in competitive fixtures against their professional peers.
