SACA ANNOUNCE TWO WINTER TRAINING CAMPS AT SQUARE ONE CRICKET CENTRE IN SUSSEX

Updated: 52 minutes ago

SACA can today confirm that its coaches and squad will head to the Square One Cricket Centre in Sussex for two intensive winter training camps as preparations gather pace for the coming season.

With a number of SACA’s players returning from overseas playing commitments over the winter, they will join up with the rest of the SACA squad and resume winter training as a group.

Square One will host two SACA camps, both held over two days, one at the end of February and one in March, with the group set to focus on skills, strategy, teamwork, fitness and media content.

The facility, in Falmer at the foot of the South Downs close to Brighton, is the creation of Sir Rod Aldridge and Rob Ferley, who share a passion for using cricket as a force for opportunity and the centre they have created is state of the art! It boasts no fewer than nine separate full length international standard indoor lanes and two indoor cricket courts – providing SACA with the perfect training environment and facilities for their camps.

Ahead of the two training camps, Tom Brown, Founder and Managing Director of SACA, commented:

“First and foremost, on behalf of SACA, I would like to thank those at the Square One Cricket Centre for hosting our two training camps.

“The facilities down there are exceptional and provide us with everything we need as we ramp up our plans and preparations ahead of what will be another busy summer for the SACA players and coaches.

“With the Academy spread over the country in five regional elite hubs it’s important for us to get the wider group together from time to time to discuss our programme strategies and objectives and these camps will enable us to do just that.

“We are very much looking forward to holding two productive camps over the coming few weeks.”
