Vansh Jani Becomes the 11th Graduate of SACA

Vansh Jani Signs Rookie Contract with Warwickshire

We’re proud to announce that Vansh Jani has become the 11th graduate of the South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA) men’s programme, after signing a rookie contract with Warwickshire County Cricket Club.

Vansh’s journey to the professional game is a story of perseverance, talent, and maximising the right opportunities. He spent several years within the Middlesex pathway, representing the county through to age 18. Along the way, he also played and trained with London Schools, Buckinghamshire Cricket, and Richmond CC, gaining valuable experience across different environments.

Despite not being offered a contract by Middlesex, Vansh remained committed to his development. He joined SACA at the back end of the 2024 season, making an immediate impression on and off the field. That winter, he trained with both SACA and Loughborough University, where he had recently started his studies and was selected for the UCCE squad.

In March 2025, Vansh travelled with SACA on our pre-season tour to Abu Dhabi, where he delivered a string of mature performances against County 1st XI opposition — including a composed 38* against a full-strength Essex side featuring Sir Alastair Cook, Jamie Porter, and Sam Cook.

Those displays laid the foundation for an outstanding run of red-ball form back in the UK:

  • 138 vs Nottinghamshire (Loughborough UCCE)

  • 159 & 60* vs Yorkshire

  • 156 & 40 vs Warwickshire

  • 122* vs Worcestershire

Following these performances, Warwickshire offered the young batter his first rookie Contract signing till the end of the season.

SACA Founder and MD, Dr. Tom Brown, commented:

“Everyone at SACA is thrilled to see Vansh earn this thoroughly deserved opportunity with Warwickshire. From the moment he joined us, his talent, work ethic, and character stood out — and the way he’s dominated this season is a clear reflection of his ability. He’s definitely one to watch.”

Vansh’s story is a powerful reminder of how much untapped talent exists across the game. With the right structure, support, and exposure, players from underrepresented backgrounds can not only compete — they can thrive.

Congratulations to Vansh and his family. We look forward to watching his continued rise in the professional game!
